*Edit* Oh my, I forgot to put the quote thingy on the first sentence.
Every night, you cry yourself to sleep, thinking: Why does this happen to me? Why does every moment have to be so hard?
It has been a tiring day, a tiring week, a tiring month, a tiring year.
I don't know if I can still hang in there, but I'm trying.
I try not to let those thoughts get me.
But it's hard.
Especially when nobody understands.
It seems that familiar faces are actually strangers behind their facade.
I thought we were close, but we don't know each other at all.
I try hard not to make mistakes.
But I know this isn't the way.
I'm looking for the exit to this maze, but I keep getting trapped at every corner.
Didn't know this was a sad song.
The tune sounded so happy.
It really had me going right there.
Pardon me for saying, but Arron looked kinda gay when playing the piano at the start.
But I like some of the parts he sang.
Like the first 2 sentences.
And I think he look like Mao of Sid + Dai Yang Tian.
Like the eyes is Mao then the mouth is Dai Yang Tian.
Wrong wrong wrong. Should be Dai's nose.
Then the mouth dunno whose.
I seem like a sicko, looking at details like this.
And I admire Jade Liu's voice.
But the song is not really nice.
People said this album(为爱而生) lacks Mayday's normal quality, but I like this song.
Although the lyrics has less substance than the songs they usually sing, but the tune is really nice.
Old song, but I don't care.
I like their MVs cos they always interact with other people.
And I see a ねこ!!!
Never really liked rock, but this song is the exception.
I don't understand what the lead is singing but I guess it's something hopeful.
P.S. My title will be understood in due time.
Songs update 20/7/10
Tuesday, 20 July 2010
I don't know what's wrong with me, but I chanced upon this on Okto and liked it.
Oh, and btw just skip the first minute cos the boy is just talking.
Beautiful, isn't it?
Saw this on 《百万大歌星》.
Original song is by 张惠妹, but I prefer 萧敬腾有点嘶喊,拉音的风格 cos I think it expresses the song better.

Loss
Saturday, 10 July 2010
I'm supposed to be doing my homework now, but oh well.
Since I'm waiting for someone to go on Facebook/come online, I might as well write something here.
When something secretly goes out of your life bit by bit, you never realize, until it suddenly dawns on you that it is gone.
Just like a leaking pail-you never notice that the height of the water is slowly going down until one day you find no water in it.
My friends used to call me a "polar bear" due to my incessant lameness that never fails to make them freeze.
However, lately(no, in fact it has been a long time already), that lameness is gone. Disappeared. Vanished into thin air.
And I didn't even realize it was ebbing away, until one day I could not find one single drop of lameness left in me.
Sure, it was childish and it caused people to be unable to take me seriously.
But it was also my source of happiness, in that it enabled me to think more optimistically about stuff.
It enabled me to maintain a child-like heart; an innocence, when I think in the way that transcends logical boundaries, and yet was logical.
I miss that feeling of exhilaration when I thought of something lame, imagined the reaction of my fellow peers in my head, and laughed quietly to myself.
Now, my brain is as still as dead water.
No fish swimming in it, no stones to produce ripples.
I guess that the day I subconsciously decided to shut myself in was the day that this lameness went *poof*, the day that I could no longer think of anything to say.
If only I could get it back.
If only getting it back was as simple as losing it.
Yay Soda Green's newest song!!!
It has really pretty lyrics.
I always admire 青峰 and gang's song-writing abilities.
I could never write like that(unless I wake up one day with lots and lots of beautiful Chinese phrases in my head; or something of that sort), and even if I could, I don't have a band to play it with. :X
I really envy 苏打绿's 默契; their ease when being with each other- that's something that is really difficult to achieve.
I guess you'll have to know someone for a very, very long time for that, unless you and your friends are the type that just click really well.
I sure wish I was like that. >.<
And yay Soda Green's newest performance!!!
Held in the hometown of The Beatles - Liverpool, UK.
So 感动 when I see all the students studying overseas coming from a long way to attend their performances.
Really envy them too-when can I get to see a live Soda Green performance?! *pouts*
Another video, this time of them on their journey to/in UK.
A big LOL at their witty antics.
They're just like teenagers(technically they are still 青年 cos they're not 30 yet, haha), mucking around and creating funny poses for the camera and such.
Just watching them brings a smile to my face, a big big smile.:D
They never fail to cheer me up.:)
Love them!!!
Eclipse of the mind
Sunday, 4 July 2010
I recently went to watch "Twilight: Eclipse" with my squadmates, and I must say, it was quite interesting.
Guess which character I like?
Not Edward, not Jacob, but Riley.
Yes, you didn't read wrongly, your mind didn't trick you, I like the antagonist Riley Biers, the leader of the newborn vampires who helped Victoria to attack the Cullens.
Cool, right?
Ok maybe you can't really see his face here.
Here's a clearer one:
Ok I know you think I'm freaking weird.
I've always been, you know.
Like in Boy's Over Flowers, I also liked the antagonist Haje instead of one of the four leads.
And in Glee, I actually like Kurt, who is more of a supporting character, than the lead characters.
Anyway, I guess I like him because of his internal struggles in the movie(didn't you realise he always look so troubled?) and his loyalty to Victoria, which persevered even till death.
And of course, partly because he kinda looks nice(hey I'm a girl in puberty you know, it would be weird if I didn't swoon over somebody or the other).
Anyway, I also liked this supporting character called Bree Tanner(her name was not mentioned in the movie, I saw it from the internet).
I think she's super cute and chio, don't you?
She's also the character I sympathize with most as she was forcefully turned into a vampire and forced to fight the Cullens, which makes her a victim.
Sadly,
*spoiler here*
both Riley and Bree were killed in the end.
I was hoping Riley would appear in the next movie again as the villian, or that Bree could be taken in by the Cullens, but no, the Volturi had to kill her, grr!
*spoiler end*
Anyway, thre were a few interesting things I noted in the movie.
I didn't know that vampires were as fragile as glass, but according to the movie, they are(watch the final fight scene).
And, even though I neither like Jacob nor Edward, but I think Jacob is better just cos he has a higher body temperature.
Imagine if there were werewolves like him in real life, I wouldn't feel so cold during rainy days(yes, I'm ultra afraid of cold), I mean provided that there are werewolves which allow me to cuddle up to it.
But I really hated the way Jacob kept forcing Bella to accept him and love him.
If he hadn't done that, I guess there would have been fewer conflicts between Edward and him.
Plus, he would've been more likable if he was the 可怜,爱意被女主角忽略的男主角.
I think I'm thinking more like writers of meaningless 青春偶像剧. Blame it on the TV.XP
Anyway, the Eclipse soundtrack is really nice!
This is my favourite song, "My Love" by Sia:
It's just so beautiful it takes my breath away.
It's really calming and the background music is, exceptional.
And I guess it's quite suitable that they used it at the proposal scene, expressing the love Edward has for Bella and vice versa(however I doubt that Bella loves Edward as much as he loves her).
For piano lovers: I present Jacob's Theme, one my favourite pieces of music from the movie.
It reflects Jacob's inner conflicts, knowing and seeing Bella's love for Edward.
This is the piece of music that totally gives him his substance and soul(Ok I feel bad I'm like saying that TL didn't act well enough and have to rely on this piece of music to up his performnace, but I really feel that this music encompasses the spirit of Jacob).
For people who don't like instrumental music: Don't sleep! This piece of music is really nice!!!
Next is a really cool song. The bad kind of cool.
Ok I think I got the wrong song.
But still, this song sounds really street-smart.
Like it should be played in a scene where a really cool guy in a leather jacket gets off his Harley Davidson motorcycle and swaggers to the pub, and every head turns to look in awe.
You would never expect this song to be played in a scene like this: 'A guy walks on the empty street on a rainy, drab, eerie night. Suddenly, a figure flies out of nowhere and attacks him...'
But that's what the producers did. Major LOL.
However, the overall effect turned out pretty good because of the heavy bass drum beat, plus I think they turned down the sound of the vocals(didn't really hear the vocals during the movie, only the drum beat was most obvious).
A song for all you people out there who prefer lively songs, this is one of the songs for the ending credits- "Eclipse (All Yours)" by Metirc.
It's quite cool and kinda makes you thump to the beat, so enjoy!:)
Oh, and for you all adrenaline junkies out there who think Twilight is boring, I saw a trailer for a new zombie-virus genre movie called "The Crazies".
I won't post the trailer here cos it is seriously "thrilling", where the you-know-whats jump out of nowhere and make you jump in your seats.
However, I heard a really nice song during the trailer, so I braved the trailers and whatsoever scary stuff to find the song and here it is:
I'm not sure if the version in the movie trailer was sung by Gary Jules or Adam Lambert, but I preferred Glambert's cos his sounds more optimistic(which isn't very).
Gary Jules' version seriously sounds extremely pessimistic.
The song is originally by an emo band called Tears for Fears, so no surprise for the emo lyrics and tune.
Although I really like this song, but I feel that this song will seriously affect your mood if you listen to it for a long time, so some advice: don't listen to it too much la. Or listen to optimistic songs after this.
Oh, and this song sounded really eerie on the trailer.
Imagine all that screaming coupled with this almost serene song.
Really eerie.
